Welcome to my bakery blog! I’m excited to share my journey with you, filled with delicious treats, helpful tips, and exciting updates. Since starting this little bakery almost a year ago, I thought it would be fun for all of us, if I shared some of what I learned and have a place to write down my experiences.
The Sweet Beginning
Every great journey starts with a single step, and mine began in a very yellow, very 80s kitchen (you don't a Pinterest perfect kitchen to start a bakery fyi)! I got married in 2024 and I started having a lot more time to experiment in the kitchen. I discovered I loved cookies and scones were't available too much in the area so gourmet cookies and scones became my specialty. But I like trying new things too much to stick with one thing, so I do venture out and try lots of other things ranging from brownies, to mini treats, and sometimes bread too!
And... in September I decided why not make a website and see what happens! I had a couple orders here and there and from there my little bakery started to grow!
The Joy of Baking
Baking started as a hobby for me, but now its a way for me to serve the people around me and make my house feel like a home.
Baking can sometimes feel a bit daunting, especially with all the various techniques involved. But there is no need to worry! I’ll share tips and tricks that I’ve picked up and the times when I still mess up! No need to feel like you can't do it, we all have those days! My goal is to share some of the good and the bad so you don't feel alone.
Sharing My Treats
One of the most rewarding aspects of baking is sharing your delicious treats. Whether it's a birthday treat for a friend or cookies for a neighbor, the joy that baked goods bring is unparalleled.
I often host pop-up events to showcase my latest goodies. I hope to have more in the future, but I started out small with the Cookie Shelf, I will write a little more about that in another post.
On August 30th, I will host my first stand alone pop up in a cute little gatehouse on a busy road. I am hoping to be able to meet new customers and get to more people in my community!

Seasonal Baking
As the seasons change, so do the flavors and ingredients for baking. I love to incorporate seasonal fruits and spices into my recipes. For instance, in the fall, I make pumpkin crumb cake muffins that are warm and inviting. In summer, I enjoy baking with fresh strawberries and zesty lemons, creating refreshing treats that capture the season.
Seasonal baking keeps things exciting and allows me to try new things without having too many items available. There’s nothing like the smell of freshly baked caramel apple scones wafting through the house on a crisp autumn day.
The Sweet Adventure Ahead
As I continue my journey in baking, I want to keep a record of my progress. I’ll be sharing updates on my bakery, highlighting successes and even the occasional failure. After all, every baker faces challenges!
I would love to hear from you! What are your favorite recipes? What obstacles do you encounter in the kitchen? Please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. Let’s build a supportive community of bakers who inspire each other.
Thank you for joining me on this sweet adventure! I hope you find inspiration and joy in your own baking endeavors. Remember, every great baker started somewhere, so don’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get started. Happy baking!
