About Taste & See Home Bakery

Taste & See is a home bakery specializing in gourmet cookies, scones, muffins as well as other baked treats! We love experimenting with new ideas, especially ones that fit in with each season. We are looking forward to working with each and every customer and sharing our treats with you! In the summer we have a small pay what you can bakery stand that will offer a number of our signature items as well as new ones!

The name Taste and See comes from the Bible verse in Psalm 34:8, "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him" (ESV). It is our hope and prayer that that this simple phrase will be a reminder of our Lord and Savior everyday.

My name is Sarah Turnbull and I am a 21 year old native of Jackson, MI and am so excited to share my business with the community! I am a born again Christian and pray that my business will always honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I never really was into baking too much when I was younger, other than a batch of cookies or muffins here and there. In 2024, I married my best friend, Bobby, and started baking a lot more over the summer as I had some time. In September, I just wondered what it would be like to start selling some of the things I made and Taste & See was born. I love this job and am so excited to see where the Lord guides, me, my family, and this little business.
